Looking for "Owned by Upstate?"

If you are looking for the "Owned by Upstate?" to see what full text is available through the library, you have three options: use a link from the library homepage, customize your NCBI/pubmed account, or, for Chrome users, install the Libkey Nomad extension for Chrome.

Browser Extension: Libkey Nomad

LibKey Nomad is a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, and Vivaldi that connects you to the full text from popular research sites such as Pubmed, ScienceDirect, and more. If no full text is available from the library, you'll see links to request the item through Interlibrary Loan.

Once installed, look for the Nomad button to access full text or request options on many research sites.

In PubMed and Scopus, these links appear directly within the search results in addition to the article records.

Customize NCBI Account: Outside Tool

Here are the steps to add the Owned by Upstate? link using Pubmed's Outside Tool feature to your personal account with Pubmed.

  1. Login to your Pubmed NCBI account
  2. Click “MyNCBI”
    • My NCBI in menu
  3. Click NCBI Site Preferences
    • My NCBI site preference
  4. Under PubMed Preferences, Click Outside Tool
    • Outside Tool in list of Preferences
  5. Select “SUNY Upstate Medical University”
  6. Click Save
