The vendor is performing maintenance that will impact customers worldwide. A system downtime of up to 24 hours is expected from 9:00 PM Saturday, May 29, 2021 through 9:00 PM Sunday, May 30, 2021 for the following services:
- main discovery search platform accessible from the library homepage (Primo)
- journal search
- library catalog
- My Library Account
- self-checkout service in the library
- Ulrichsweb database
- some linking through "Owned by Upstate?" links, in particular the page that links to Interlibrary Loan for items the library does not subscribe to
If you are looking for a known article or journal, check out the alternatives below that allow you to search for subscribed journal titles and articles using PMID/DOI.
If you can’t access a particular article, you can manually request the item through Interlibary Loan.
Library staff continue to recommend the browser extension Libkey Nomad to assist in connecting to the full text faster no matter where you start your research. During the maintenance window, links through Libkey Nomad to full text articles will continue to work but links to request the item through Interlibrary Loan will display a maintenance message.

Interlibrary Loan - Request Items
Browser Extension to Find Full Text Faster
LibKey Nomad is a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, and Vivaldi that connects you to the full text from popular research sites such as Pubmed, ScienceDirect, and more. Typically, if no full text is available from the library, you'll see links to request the item through Interlibrary Loan. However, during the maintenance window, you will see a maintenance message instead of a link to Interlibrary Loan. You will need to manually enter an Interlibrary Loan request or try again later.
To install Libkey Nomad for your browser, check out the Download Libkey Nomad page by Third Iron.
Once installed, look for the Nomad button to access full text or request options on many research sites.
In PubMed and Scopus, these links appear directly within the search results in addition to the article records.
Note: Libkey Nomad is not recommended for shared computers where personalized settings are not saved, particularly limited access computers and wow's.
