Educational & Entertainment Resources
Our Family Resource Centers at Upstate Cancer Center and Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital are currently closed to visitors. We've created a list of freely accessible educational and entertainment resources to meet the needs of our patients, families, and community members during this time. Librarians are still available to answer your health information questions using the contact information in this guide. Reach out anytime by emailing library@upstate.edu!

- Everyday LearningPBS provides educational resources geared for kids ages pre-k through 12th grade.
- Fun Brain Educational GamesCreated for kids in grades Pre-K through 8, Funbrain.com has been the leader in free educational games for kids since 1997. Funbrain offers hundreds of games, books, comics, and videos that develop skills in math, reading, problem-solving and literacy.
- Google Arts and Culture CollectionGoogle teamed up with over 500 museums and galleries around the world to bring anyone and everyone virtual tours and online exhibits of some of the most famous museums around the world.
- NASA at HomeNASA provides fun science and space activities for kids.
- Scholastic Learn at HomeScholastic offers free educational materials broken into grade level.
Digital Books
- Audible BooksNow for free, kids everywhere can instantly stream a collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids. All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.
- Capstone Interactive E-BooksInteractive ebooks for readers pre-K through high school.
- Epic!This massive digital library for kids 12 and under is offering free Remote Student Access through June 30th through Educators (and Educator accounts are free).
Story Time!
- Storytime OnlineThe SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s award-winning children’s literacy website, Storyline Online, streams videos featuring celebrated actors reading children’s books alongside creatively produced illustrations. Readers include Viola Davis, Chris Pine, Lily Tomlin, Kevin Costner, Annette Bening, James Earl Jones, Betty White and dozens more.
- Good Night with Dolly!Dolly Parton reads books from her Imagination Library program. This link features, "The Little Engine that Could."

- Fayetteville Free Library - YouTube channelFayetteville Free Library in Onondaga County offers YouTube tutorials and content for a variety of age levels.
- MOST: at-home learning resourcesHands-on science learning experiences that can be done at home. The MOST is posting a new STEAM Activity every day that you can try at home as well as providing daily science links, online STEM contests, exhibit features and videos, and more.
- OCPL Digital Library CardOCPL is pleased to announce a temporary digital library card to provide you access
to online content including downloadable and streaming ebooks, audiobooks, videos and music, online
learning opportunities, and research databases.
