Libby is an app available through OverDrive, which provides access to over 2800 ebooks, audiobooks and magazines. This collection changes frequently to include new bestselling titles.

1. Visit https://www.overdrive.com/apps/libby, or search for it in your app store. You can visit Libby Help to check your device's compatibility. 
2. Open the app.
3. Select “Yes, I have a library card”
4. Select “Search for a library”
5. Search for “Upstate”
6. Select “Northern NY Library Network, Upstate Medical University”
7. A message will appear “Add a library card for Northern New York Library Network so you can borrow titles and place holds.” Select “Sign in with my card.”
8. A message will appear “Let’s sign into your account. Where do you use your library card?” Select “Upstate Medical University.”
9. A message will appear “At this library, you sign into your card via a secure website. We’ll open this site for you now.” Select “Next”
10. Sign in with your Upstate credential as you normally do for other library resources.
11. Once the app indicates you’re signed in, select “Next" to start borrowing titles.

If you’re already using the Libby app with another library service such as a public library, you can add Upstate’s library and use multiple library cards.

1. Open the Libby app
2. Select the hamburger button at the bottom of the app (three horizontal lines).
3. Select “Add library”
4. Search for “Upstate”
5. Select “Northern NY Library Network, Upstate Medical University”
6. Select “Sign in with a card”
7. Select “Upstate Medical University”
8. A message will appear “At this library, you sign into your card via a secure website. We’ll open this site for you now.” Select “Next”
9. Sign in with your Upstate credential as you normally do for other library resources.
10. Once the app indicates you’re signed in, select “Next” to start borrowing titles.

If you have a Kindle eReader or prefer using the Kindle app, you can choose "Read With...Kindle".
